Furthest Boundary Press presents a new translation of Nur Al Uyun: The Light of the Eyes, a concise work of seerah (biography) of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) translated by Shaykh Ibrahim Osi Efa.
The book entitled, ‘Nūr al Uyun fī Sirati al Amīn al-Ma’mūn’ , translated as, ‘Light Eyes: An Abridgement of the Biography of the Trusted, the Trustworthy,’ is a profound work that is intended as a primer in the sciences of prophecy. This edition has 236 pages and includes additional commentary and biographies of over 170 companions.
Abridged by the original author (Ibn Sayyid Al-Nas) himself from his own original two volume work, ‘Uyūnu’l-Athar fī Funūni’l-Maghaz̄ī wa shamā’il wa’s-Siyar, (The Eyes of the Tradition with respect to the Sciences of Prophetic Qualities, War and Biography’) the work introduces the reader to several of the primary sciences of prophecy, such as the Prophetic Biography and the science of Prophetic Qualities.
The translation was undertaken by Shaykh Ibrahim Osi Efa in an effort to support the Olive Mount project in the UK and is the first of a series of a number of such translations.
All proceeds from the sales of “The Light of the Eyes” will go towards Olive Mount (we do not retain any amount from the sales).
