This Iqra Islamic Bookshop delivery policy explains how we process, ship and deliver your orders within South Africa and to selected international destinations. Please read this page carefully before completing your purchase so you know what to expect in terms of delivery times, shipping costs and tracking.

1. Processing & Dispatch

  • Orders are usually processed within 2–5 business days after payment has been received.
  • During busy periods, such as Ramadan or Eid, processing times may be slightly longer, but we always aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible.
  • Once your order has been packed and dispatched, you will receive a tracking number and courier details via email so you can follow your parcel’s journey.

If you place an order with multiple items, we may ship everything together in one parcel where possible.

2. Delivery Times Within South Africa

Estimated delivery times from the date of dispatch are:

  • Pretoria & Gauteng: 2–3 business days
  • Other major cities: 3–5 business days
  • Remote or outlying areas: 5–7 business days

These timeframes are estimates provided by our courier partners and may vary due to weather, public holidays or operational delays outside our control.

3. Shipping Costs & Free Delivery

  • Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the weight, size and delivery location of your order.
  • From time to time, we may run special delivery promotions or flat-rate offers; these will be clearly indicated during checkout.
  • We currently offer free shipping on orders over R1000 within South Africa, after discounts and excluding digital products or gift cards.

4. Shipping Costs & Free Delivery

We deliver from our store in Laudium, Pretoria, to addresses across South Africa using trusted courier services. Some locations may require longer delivery times or incur additional surcharges if classified as remote by the courier.

After dispatch, your tracking number will allow you to monitor the status of your parcel on the courier’s website. If you have difficulty tracking your order, please contact us at support@iqra.co.za or via our Contact page and we will assist you.

5. Lost or Delayed Orders

If your order has not arrived within 10 business days after dispatch:

  • Please first check your tracking information and confirm that the delivery address you provided is correct.
  • If the parcel appears to be delayed, contact us at support@iqra.co.za with your order number and tracking details.

Iqra Islamic Bookshop is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses
  • Courier strikes, extreme weather or other events outside our control

However, we will always do our best to liaise with the courier and assist you in resolving delivery issues where possible.

6. International Shipping

We offer international shipping on selected orders. Please note:

  • International delivery times are significantly longer than local deliveries and vary by destination.
  • Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged by their country’s authorities.
  • We cannot guarantee exact delivery dates for international parcels due to customs and transit factors beyond our control.
