Iqra Bookshop Returns Policy
This Iqra Islamic Bookshop returns policy explains when and how you can return items purchased from us, how refunds and exchanges are handled, and where returns should be sent. Our goal is to treat customers fairly while protecting the integrity of our books and products.
1. Returns Eligibility
We accept returns for items that meet all of the following criteria:
- The item is returned within 7 days of purchase with a valid proof of purchase (till slip, online order confirmation or invoice).
- The item is in its original condition, unused and in its original packaging.
- Books must not have any writing, highlighting, stamps, price stickers from other stores, or physical damage.
- Digital products (e-books, PDFs and similar downloads) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable:
- Sale or clearance items clearly marked as non-refundable.
- Gift cards and vouchers.
- Custom, imported or special-order items requested specifically for you.
- Opened or used stationery, CDs or DVDs unless they are defective.
3. Refund Process
Once we receive your return, we will:
- Inspect the item to confirm eligibility under this returns policy.
- Notify you via email about the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, process the refund within 7 business days via the original payment method where possible.
Please note:
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective item.
- If your return is rejected, we may offer to send the item back to you at your cost.
4. Exchanges
Exchanges are only allowed for defective or damaged items. Customers must contact us within 48 hours of delivery or purchase if they believe an item is faulty.
Where possible, we will replace the item with the same title. If the item is out of stock, we may offer an alternative item or a refund, in line with this Iqra Islamic Bookshop returns policy.
5. How to Return an Item
Before returning any product, please email support@iqra.co.za with:
- Your full name and contact details.
- Order number or proof of purchase.
- The item you wish to return and the reason for the return.
